Foraging Weekend with Nikki Brighton
Nikki is a forager, locavore, and activist who lives a creative life and believes that we should all eat more weeds – that is the nutrient dense food and medicine which is growing all around us.
During lockdown her fame as a weed eater grew widely – mostly due to social media. She has hosted weed walks in the KZN Midlands, at the Karoo Food Festival, in the Free State, in De Rust in the Cape, the Drakensberg, Durban and all along the KZN Coast. We will identify and taste common wild edibles growing at The Cavern (and probably in your garden too). Nikki’s immersive experience identifying wild food and tasting edible weeds will be life changing.
