We offer 3 different horse rides to our resident guests as below;
Beginners- 1 hour- R150 per person
Intermeadiate- 2 hours-R220 per person
Experienced- 3 hours-R250 per person
For full day private horse rides we recommend The Northern Horse at Montusi Mountain Lodge situated 9km from The Cavern. Their contact number is 036 438 6243.

Does the beginners 1 hour ride get into good scenery?

Our 1-hour ride for the less experienced normally goes after lunch at 14h30. It heads into the hills behind the resort mostly and I do think the views are quite lovely. The horse is watching the path so you can just absorb it all.

We do have 1 hour trail rides on every other day in the morning from 09h30-10h30 and daily Beginner’s rides (1hr) from 14h30-15h30 except on Sundays from 11h30-12h30.

Beginner Horse Ride (1hour) = R150.00 per person
Intermediate Horse Ride (2hours) = R220.00 per person
Experienced Horse Ride (3hours) = R250.00 per person
You can make a booking when you get here as it depends on weather and it is a first come first serve basis.
